| Interior Renovation of Bucksport Regional Health Center Nurses' Station

Architectural design, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering

Challenges
To relieve congestion, created by having too many hospital staff members in one small area, without adding actual square footage to the building.
Solution
AMES A/E modified the station's layout to increase efficiency by moving the nurses' station to a central location with two separate entrances -- without sacrificing any exam rooms. We also added windows to the station, so nurses can see how many patients are in the waiting area. The station is now a workable area for four clinicians, four nurses, and two schedulers.
